So i got back from mississippi and Kevin Jonas is engaged! Woo hoo! That's so cool! He totally deserves it. I hope they're happy. Anyways, lots of deaths while i was gone, too, the most devastating being Micheal Jackson's. But, I did promise a marathon, and despite the fact that i didn't get hardly any comments, thank you to those who did comment. The petite, athletic blonde and the long-legged brunette were beautiful in the not even trying way."Neighbors?" he repeated, trying to mask his excitement.He saw the brunette, Emily, watching him and winked up at her. "Sup?"Nick Jonas was surprised when she rolled her eyes and turned to say something to Taylor, but he was not deterred. 'I'll make her like me if its the last thing I do this summer,' he decided. "It's perfect.""Plus the promise of two gorgeous girls to show us around," Nick added. Brooklyn blushed and giggled, but Emily wasn't impressed. She knew why he was here, and she wanted nothing to do with him. For the rest of the evening, Emily spoke to Kevin and Taylor about music and stuff, trying to ignore Nick and the looks he kept giving her. By the end of the night, Em was excited to get to know Joe and Kevin better, but completely fed up with their arrogant little brother.Kevin paid the check, then he and his brothers said goodbye and told Taylor they'd wait for her in the car. As soon as they were gone, Taylor turned apologetically to Emily. "I'm so sorry. Do you hate me?""Not you," Emily stood, reaching for her keys. "Him.""I know," Taylor said, "but it's just one summer.""One summer?!" Emily exclaimed. "Three and a half months with him as a next door neighbor? Are you kidding me? This is gonna suck!""Listen, deep down, hes a really good guy. Get to know him a little. See if you can pull him out of his shell," Taylor coaxed. "Youre good at reading people.""Got a straitjacket?" the younger girl asked sarcastically.Taylor lauged. "What are you talking about?""Well, I was reading him and he's pretty much insane.""Just try," the country star pleaded. "Didn't you used to be, like, his biggest fan or something?"Emily rolled her eyes. "That was a year ago.""Just try," Taylor begged again. "I'm leaving tonight, and I need to know this will work.""Ok," Emily sighed, pausing by her car. "I'll do it. But mention that I used to be obsessed, and you're dead.""Cross my heart," she said excitedly, then gave her friend a huge hug. "Thanks so much!""You owe me," Emily teased, then climbed into her Jeep."Absolutely. Oh, and B, have fun with Joe. Hes a great guy."Brooklyn blushed. "Oh, no- I- I just-," she stuttered, then laughed with her friends. "Thanks.""Ok, guys, I have to go, but thank you so much. It was great seeing you guys again," Taylor said, then added almost sadly, "I've missed you guys.""We've missed you, too, Tay.
