Aug 28, 2011 - jimmy ellis was supposed to do 2 shows at nashville north in bensenville ill. on september 3rd 1989. my dads friends youngest son had gotten married that day. so my dad insisted on me accompaning him. my dad told me let's try to catch his second show at 11:00pm. we arrived at the lounge at 10:55pm. but nobody showed up for his second show. so we just missed him by a few minutes. we were told his attendance for his 1st show was almost non existant. my dad felt bad and i felt worse .
